We also are increasingly receiving calls and email from long time hydrogen peroxide users and advocates of having increasing difficulty in finding over-the-counter sales of 35% Food Grade hydrogen peroxide from health stores in their area. An increasing number of health store owners have been writing and phoning that they can no longer obtain 35% Food Grade hydrogen peroxide from their previous supplier, that their supplier prices have become too high, or that their supplier requires too large a minimum order size.

35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide is sensitive to high heat and very sensitive to U.V. light. While while plastic containers block most U.V., it will not block all U.V. light if under intense light or in direct sunlight.
Ideally, 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide is stored in a cool, dark location (such as a refrigerator). Contrary to some misinformation, it should not be stored in a freezer. Retail display of retail bottles of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide (regardless of grade) for low volume sales is to place 1 or 2 bottles on display for sale. The rest are kept in dark storage.
Concentrated hydrogen peroxide has two elements - pure water (h2o) and pure oxygen (o) - thus "h2o2". It is defined as a semi-stable liquid because the additional oxygen atom is easily freed from the h2o. It is the additional atom of oxygen that is the working agent. When released, it is in gaseous form. There is a huge amount of pure oxygen within h2o2.
Heat, U.V. light and contact with any organic substance and certain minerals will cause h2o2 to decompose. This can be very gradual or rapid, depending upon the amount of heat, U.V. light or manner of contact with organic substances. If in a sealed container, gas pressure will build if the h2o2 undergoes decomposition.
G.O.E. h2o2 is always shipped with the bottles slightly indented to allow for expansion. The indication of excessive pressure build up is a tight bottle. If kept out of direct U.V. light and in a climate controlled setting, the containers of G.O.E. h2o2 can remain on the shelf for many months. If you have a refrigerator display, this is the best location - but is not required.
